Xuan's 4th years old Birthday

I totally forgot to post about Xuan's birthday till I found out I have tons of his photos still there!!! :-(

btw, Xuan designed his own birthday cake, the decoration, the items there and the colour there tooo...
We bought him this road system which be able to 'integrate' to his current Ikea-train-set, cool. on top of that we also add on another box of his favorite sign boards and now he is able to tell you where is No-entry, No-Parking...No-U-turn...hehehehe

He never get tired of pushing his cars & trains around.....:-)

short moment at PutraJaya

This afternoon after some sundry shopping at Jusco Maluri, I decided to try on the new highway from Kg Pandan to Putrajaya (just opened to Public early this month and most important FREE now till further notice)

Waliao...the PutraJaya is so quiet during holiday!!! (few years ago, we were here on weekend too thought that was due to not many government offices moved there) and like what Will Smith's experience in I-Am-Legend (kekekekeke almost, not to that extreme LAH!!)

Surprisingly to see large no. of people at this part of Putrajaya (at least 100 over cars and many buses around), seem more like a tourist attraction rather than Government Administrative Center (hey, we spent billions of ringgit for all these??)

I will come on Christmas early morning to take better photos again...

Flat for SALE - Rosana Villa, Putra Perdana

This is my 1st property which I bought sometime year 1998 or 1999 (can not really remembered, need to check on the Sales&Purchase).
As that moment, was expecting company will be moving to Cyberjaya for the MSC status (still young, single and working oversea not much burden and always have more-than-enough-cash at the end of the month)

The unit completed with CF at Year 2002 and I left it vacant till now. :-( (rental too low and I always not around to rent it out too)

Now decided to sell it off at lower than developer's price, some information on the unit:

1. 703 square feet, 3R2B
2. 1st floor corner unit (one of the most expensive unit in the block)
3. walk-up apartment / flat

please email me if you are interested :-)

Din Tai Fung 鼎泰丰 again...

We supposed to have family dinner tonight. Hence my parent came out to KL this morning. we had simple breakfast at somewhere near my place before we head to The Garden.
Just after 2 weeks from the last visit, I went to the same place again as my father wants to try the 小笼包xiao long bao at Din Tai Fung 鼎泰丰。 Beside the dishes I tried like 2 weeks ago, I also tried on the 辣子鸡 (a bit oily compared to the one at 小王府@北京) and the shrimp fried rice (it is about the same as 小王府)..

It has been some time seen all the family members went out for a lunch like this...will do it more often :-), next round would be 南翔@The Pavilion as my parent has NOT been there yet...

I AM LEGEND

After long time (for past 5 years, I only entered cinema 3 times), Thursday night was having I AM LEGEND Premier at GSC@Mid Valley with my colleague.

I remembered when I was a kid, i used to have this weird idea what-if-i-am-the-only-person-alone..

  1. what am i going to do with this 'Freedom'?

  2. how am I going to get power supply?

  3. where to get food?

  4. ......

Looking at Will Smith, seem like not a good idea to be the only one in the world....

This also my 1st time trying the Gold Class too....not bad but expensive leh..RM40 for one ticket :-(

Wasting Money nia...

"天然資源與環境部副部長拿督索迪納登今日揭露,精明防洪隧道因受吉隆坡排水系統問題所累,無法完全發揮防範閃電水災的功效.
他指出,吉隆坡因排水系統的不完善、設計問題,以及沒有定期提升及維修,再加上市民愛亂丟垃圾,致使精明防洪隧道無法全面發揮功效,難以防範閃電水災"

Then...
1. WHY no preliminary study on that before carry out the RM2billion project?
2. If the drainage system is good then no flood already, WHY bother to spend RM2billion on the SMART 'LongKang'??
3.....

Boh Lat :-(

Money NOT Enough!??!

Money NOT Enough?!!?

I found this link from my brother's blog. Have fun

something FUNNY from internet...."STPM exams in Boleh Land"

I received this email from my friends....

How do you explain the fact that 87% of the students passed the  examinations of the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) recently?

When during your father's/grandfather's time only 10% would have passed?

Are students getting smarter? Or are STPM questions getting easier?

Let me put things in their proper perspective.

During your grandfather's time, they would ask exam questions  like:
In what year did Parameswara founded the kingdom of Melaka ?
The correct answer was "1402", and they found that only 10% of the students managed to answer the question correctly. This didn't go down too well with the authorities, because the objective of the exams was to pass people.
I mean, what's the point of having exams if  people fail?

So later, they found another way to ask the same  question:
Parameswara founded the kingdom of Melaka in the year:
 (a) 2001
 (b) 2004
 (c) 1986
 (d) 1975
 (e) 1402
 Tick the correct answer.

The results were better in that 20%  of the students passed. But it was still not good enough, so the authorities tried a different tact a few years later:

"Parameswara founded the kingdom of Melaka in the year1402.

True or false?"

Well, half of the students guessed "True" and the other  half guessed "False". Fully 50% passed. The results were getting pretty acceptable by now.

Most other countries would be  satisfied with a 50% passing rate, but not us. We are a better country,  because we are a boleh country. The authorities then cracked  their heads and then came out with this one:

Read the  following sentence carefully.

"Parameswara, the cousin of  Proton-Iswara, founded the kingdom of Melaka in the year 1402."
Underline the name of the person who founded Melaka.

60% underlined "Parameswara", 30% underlined "Proton-Iswara" and 10% underlined "1402". Hooiyoh......60% managed to pass! So krever!

But for some reason, the authorities were still not contented. So last year, they came out with this gem:

One day in  the year 1402, Parameswara founded the kingdom of Melaka. Then he went  home to have dinner. What did he eat?

13% handed in blank  answers, 57% wrote "Maggi Mee", and 10% wrote "Kentucky Fried Chicken", and 20% wrote "Tree bark".

The official answer was "Food" of  course!

After the marking was over, it was found that 87% of the students had passed. 87%............now that's pretty  impressive!
So it's true. The students are indeed getting smarter

Actually I remembered that during my time... whole country not more than 10 person having all 'A' but on last month examination result release, just one school itself having more than 100 students passed with all 'A's!!!

Good Old time...

Since our office shifted to Plaza Sentral on the Friday, for the past whole week I took LRT to work (almost as Friday I drove to work as got meeting at somewhere, middle of no where)
It has been around 10 years since I did that when I was still staying at Wangsa Melawati and working on a bank project near Masjid Jamek.

Now, My ride starts from Ampang Line at LRT Cempaka Station to LRT Masjid Jamek then change to Kelana Line towards KL Sentral, then just walk about 5-10 minutes to Plaza Sentral.

One reason for not driving to work as lack of car park at the new office area. Moreover, our company also encourage the staffs to take the public transport by subsidy over RM120/month on the transportation fee.

For past 4 days on Public Transport, the only thing the annoying me is that a lot of people still do not know the RIGHT way to take the escalator or walking along the long underground tunnel (between the 2 LRT stations).
Regardless of the walking speed, there are always someone blocking other peoples from behind, moving at his own sweet slow-pace.
At HK / Singapore, people will step on the RIGHT side to allow those 'fassssssst-movingggggggggggg' people to by-pass on the LEFT side just like the traffic...

hmmmmmm I prefer taking LRT, I am getting chance to 'move' abit compared to drive to work....
At night, if the weather permitted, I walk home from station too (about 20 minutes) that sweat even more.. :-) Good Exercise leh...

I also doing my small part to make a 'GREENER' ...

鼎泰丰Din Tai Feng

This afternoon, We went 鼎泰丰Din Tai Fung@The Garden for lunch!

Our 1st visit was at Beijing ....almost 2 years ago as always see the tag line in the local magazine quoted "World Top 10 Restaurant, by New York Times"

we came in late around 1430++ so not many people there BUT still more than 70% fully seated...
we ordered few dishes only as we always failed to finish it...1st of course the famous Xiao Long Bao 小笼包
to my surprise my son like the Xiao Long Bao小笼包 very much!!

This seaweed Taufu is GOOD, must try though looks like.....
this bowl of noodle....hmmm i do not like it...BUT SL likes it very much...kekekekeke
I do not like the way they fried the chicken meat, too much flour and felt 'OILY' after few slices...

Will bring my parent here when they come to KL next round....
